This is an autism-friendly open day with dance, art, music and fun for all!
Prior's Court School will be opening its gates to welcome in members of the public between 13.00 and 16.00 on 04.07.10. This year, as well as the chance to view the woodland sculpture trail and find out more about the school, the annual Open Day will also feature music and dance performances from some wonderful local artists. Visitors will be treated to performances from Oxford-based AMV, a band dedicated to "the inauthentic performance of early music", be invited to partake in a ceili dance workshop from KeiraDance and also get creative with art workshops run by Jess Wallace. There is also an opportunity to undertake a treasure hunt of the art around the sculpture trail which snakes through the ten acre wood, sit and listen to tales from a storyteller, meet the animals in the stable yard as well as enjoying bouncy castles, face painting and refreshments. The day also offers visitors a chance to find out more about the work of this special school, with one of the classrooms open and the opportunity to talk to staff from Prior's Court about autism and the school.
