Bradfield Southend Village Stores is a non-profit making community enterprise which opened in 2005 providing a shop and post office. It was partly financed by local people, many of whom are shareholders. It is controlled by a Management Committee and is now housed in its own building.

This project is supported under the England Rural Development Programme by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund. It is also supported by the Englefield Charitable Trust.
